The latest position in the FBU’s fairer commutation campaign is that GAD’s application for permission to appeal to the Court of Appeal has yet to be dealt with. Members will be frustrated with the length of time this issue is taking, but must recognise that this was always going to be a slow process. I can also confirm however that this is still being dealt with on a test case basis and members do not have to submit or resubmit any grievances at this stage. Any developments will be reported as soon as they are available.
