PAY 2014
Following a membership consultation on the Employers’ 1% offer made in June 2014, the Executive Council met recently and confirmed that:
• Members had reluctantly accepted that the Union should agree to the 1% as a pay settlement for 2014-2015.
• That this should be subject to a further representation to test whether an improved offer was feasible.
That discussion prompted by firefighters dissatisfaction with Employer’s representatives has taken place.
There will be no further money available for an improved offer. As a consequence the attached NJC circulars, which show the new pay rates, have been agreed and issued today.
