FBU submission to spending review
The Comprehensive Spending Review is the process by which Central Government plans its allocation of resources for public expenditure for the coming period. The outcome of the next review is due to be announced on June 26 and will set out spending plans for the period after April 2015. The review will have a direct effect on Fire and Rescue Authorities in England and will indirectly affect future budgets in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The attached document has been submitted as the Union’s contribution to this debate. It makes the case against cuts and for investment in our Service.
